Swansea Waterfront Winterland Opens on the 15th November and Closes on the 6th January, we’re only closed on Christmas day. Keep an eye on social media and our website for opening times as these may change.

Unfortunately, we cannot reserve tables, or pre-book hospitality online. You can however book ice skating tickets online up to 1 hour before the session starts!

Professional photography and video is not permitted onsite without prior consent.

Our staff have the right to question the purpose of your photography/filming.

We do! Since 2018 all of our token booths, ice skating and bar outlets have accepted card payments.

These can only be booked online when booking ice skating tickets. Penguins cost £5.00 per session. Please be aware, that users of the penguins have to be below 4ft. Staff at the ice rink will be able to measure the height at the ice rink to ensure that users are of a suitable height. This is a height limit set by the manufacturer of the penguins due to safety reasons.

No! There is no admission fee, it is free to enter, you only have to pay for the attractions you choose.

Yes, there is a cloakroom, this costs £2.00 per item. Unfortunately the cloakroom is for skaters only.

Ride tokens cost £1.00 each and can be bought from the token booths on site.

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs onto the event site. We do allow guidance dogs and we do have a water bowl near to the bar.

Yes! Safety is our top priority and we want everyone to feel safe whilst at the event. Sometimes our security may carry out bag checks and there are restrictions on what items we allow on site.

We do ask all of our visitors to remain vigilant and not to leave bags, or belongings unattended.

We do not allow the following items on the event site –

  • Knives
  • Fireworks
  • Smoke Canisters
  • Air-Horns
  • Flares
  • Weapons
  • Dangerous or Hazardous Items
  • Lasers
  • Bottles/glass vessels/cans
  • Poles
  • Drones
  • Any article that may be used or perceived as a weapon that may compromise public safety
  • Open bottles of drink/liquid (Unopened bottles of water will be accepted)

Please note, Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland is an outdoor event so please make sure you wrap up warm! There are covered areas and indoor seating areas and we welcome everyone to use these!

The ice rink operates in all weather conditions and is undercover, should we cancel a session for technical reasons, the operator reserves the right to offer refund or re-schedule your booking to a new date or time (subject to availability)

Yes, we have a box office on site, at which you can buy ice skating tickets or funfair tokens using card or cash. You can also purchase advance tickets from the box office. Please note, that tickets may be slightly cheaper if booked online in advance and you may be disappointed if you arrive and the session is sold out!

Please note that ice skating is a sport, and is done entirely at your own risk. The operators will not be held responsible for any injuries, or damage to personal effects whilst on the ice. Please follow the instructions on all safety signage, safety announcements and please follow the guidance of our ice marshals at all time to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience whilst on the ice.

It may also be a good idea to bring a change of socks with you as sometimes our skates can get slightly wet. This isn’t often but can happen occasionally.

Yes! Please ring 0333 666 3366 to exchange your ice skating ticket, there will be a £1.00 fee per ticket and exchanges are subject to availability when booking.

We stock sizes from J8 up to Adult 15. We do have limited skate numbers and it’s recommended that you arrive approximately 15-20 minutes before your session time to ensure you get the correct size.

The minimum age is 3 years old, and anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult on the ice. The adult can wear either skates or ice grips which are available for a £5.00 refundable deposit.

Unfortunately, we do not allow phones or cameras to be used on the ice rink due to safety of yourself and others. We do have a professional photographer on the ice rink who is able to take your photo for you!
